National trains only stop at Coimbra-B station, but all tickets include a free 5 minute ride between Coimbra-B and Coimbra city center. As you get out at Coimbra-B, you’ll just need to look for the trains to Coimbra on the screens. Coming out of the central station, we may be found opposite to the river. Rua Simao de Evora is one of the small streets branching from the main avenue towards the middle of downtown.
Walking directions from the train station
The Bus station, where all the buses with national services stop, is located 800 meters away from our apartments, about 10 walking minutes. You can find us by following Avenida Fernao Magalhaes in direction of the city center (opposite to McDonalds). When getting to towards the end of the avenue, you’ll find Hotel Oslo in front, Rua Simao de Evora is one of the streets on the left side of the avenue. It may be a good and more comfortable option to take a taxi from the station to Hotel Oslo, it shouldn’t cost you more that 3,50 euros.
Walking directions from the bus station
Arriving to Coimbra by high-way, either coming from Coimbra Norte or Coimbra Sul exits, you’ll go through a road that takes you to the city. Follow directions “Centro de Coimbra”. This road will take you to Avenida Fernao de Magalhaes. You should follow the avenue towards the center until you’ll find Hotel Oslo in front of you. You’ll have to go around Hotel Oslo’s building. You may stop at the hotel’s entrance and ask for directions or continue to one of the parking lots around. Simao de Evora, where we are, doesn’t have traffic, but there is a underground parking on the corner with Avenida Fernao Magalhaes. This parking lot is the one with the lowest fares around downtown. There are a few open-air solutions, but they are limited and usually hard to get. We would advise that you leave your car at this parking lot even if only for check-in, as the lift takes you comfortably to our door step.
